What is CrossFit

CrossFit is a core strength-and-conditioning program. It is designed to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of 10 recognized fitness domains; cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. The CrossFit program was developed to enhance an individual’s competency at all physical tasks. Our athletes train to perform successfully at multiple, diverse and physical challenges. This fitness is demanded of military, police, firefighters and many sports requiring total or complete physical prowess - CrossFit Journal

Is this for me?

Absolutely! Your needs and the Olympic athlete’s differ by degree not kind. Increased power, strength, cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, flexibility, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy are each important to the world’s best athletes and to our grandparents. The truth is that the very same methods that elicit optimal response in the Olympic or professional athlete will optimize the same response in the elderly.
Of course, we can’t load your grandmother with the same squatting weight we’d assign an Olympic skier, but they both need to squat. In fact, squatting is essential to maintaining functional independence and improving fitness - CrossFit Journal

Getting Started

All new members will be required to attend a 3 session fundamental movements class which will take place on the 1st week of every month (mon - wed at 7pm), here we teach you the fundamental movements of CrossFit, the lingo, nutrition and we end off with a Workout Of the Day. Completion of Foundations is required before attending CrossFit classes.
Onramp is designed to teach you the mechanics of the movements to ensure your safety and give you the opportunity to acclimate to the intensity of the workouts and classes.
