“This is what I love about CrossFit: everything is tangible, everything is within reach if you try hard enough, you can have it.
My goals changed from big guns, to heavier lifts, getting fitter, eating cleaner, all washed down with a dose of healthy competition among new friends.
CrossFit has literally changed my life. “I can’t do it” is no longer in my vocabulary, only “Let’s do it! When do we start?” This has spilled over into my professional and personal life. After completing a WOD that you actually thought was humanly impossible, nothing can stop you from achieving what you set out to achieve”

"During high school and university, Sean has always been an active person playing completive basketball and football. After university he needed another outlet and eventually found Crossfit and a community that felt more like a family. Sean has completed the following course:

"The best part about Crossfit is that you can’t avoid your weaknesses. They will find you and expose you. So you’re encouraged to not just get fitter but strengthen and work on the movements you normally wouldn’t do.

Then there is no better feeling when finishing a WOD that 6 months ago you wouldn’t even have been able to do."

"At first I was hesitant to start CrossFit, it seemed strange and was different from any physical activity i’d done before which naturally made me a little nervous. Being fit, active and healthy has always been important to me but CrossFit allowed to me to take that fitness to the next level. For the first time I noticed REAL changes, I was becoming super energetic, more determined to succeed and a whole lot happier! CrossFit is not only a community, it is an amazing support system, a way of life and a step in the right direction. It has now become my goal to teach others what I have learned and continue to learn. "

During high school the extent of my exercise was running 5kms 2 or 3 times a week.
It was often a boring slog and really just something I did to manage what I ate. This fed into watching the scale and poor body image.

I started Crossfit after having my second child. My husband had been doing it for awhile and, while interested, I always thought he was a little crazy. But I decided to try it maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Well...I loved it so much that I was soon doing 5 or 6 workouts a week! I loved the diversity of Crossfit, it's not boring. The movements are fun and challenging and its amazing to be able to track your progress and improve. I also love how there is a scale for everything, no matter what your weakness, injury, or fear anyone can do it. Getting through a tough workout and knowing what you are capable of is amazing.
It has given me such confidence in myself and also built my mental toughness a huge amount, which translates into all other areas of my life.
Being fit and strong and having a general physical preparedness is so helpful in life. My 3 kids love that I can do handstands and cartwheels with them.
The quest for excellence in all that we do, consistency, constant growth, and clean eating because of how it makes us feel and perform is important to me.
Crossfit has helped me so much as a person. Helping others along this path and seeing their growth and development is so inspiring.
